DO NOT USE OFF THE SHELF CARPET CLEANING PRODUCTS. Most of these are very highly concentrated and will leave a sticky residue in your carpet and attract more dirt. A lot of these products also have chemicals in which can bleach your carpets. Instead use a small sprinkling of washing powder in a bowl of hot water and pat the affected area.
